Welcome to SnapSugar AI. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the SnapSugar AI mobile application (the “App”) and any related services (collectively, the “Services”) provided by SnapSugar AI (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

About SnapSugar AI

SnapSugar AI is an AI-powered diabetes management application that helps users track blood glucose readings, scan food and barcodes, find diabetes-friendly restaurants, and manage their medications. The Services include features such as glucose tracking, food scanning, restaurant recommendations, medication reminders, lab result analysis, and personalized insights based on the information you provide.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are between 13 and 18, you must use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly allow such users to create accounts.

Medical disclaimer

The information, recommendations, and insights provided by the App are for informational and educational purposes only. You should always consult a qualified healthcare provider before:

• Making changes to your medication, insulin dosage, or treatment plan
• Adjusting your diet, exercise routine, or lifestyle based on App recommendations
• Acting on any glucose reading, lab analysis, or food recommendation provided by the App
• Making any decision that could affect your health

Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information provided by SnapSugar AI. If you are experiencing a medical emergency — including symptoms of severe hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, ketoacidosis, or any other urgent condition — call your local emergency number or seek immediate medical care.

You acknowledge that you use the App at your own risk and that SnapSugar AI is not liable for any health outcomes resulting from your use of the Services.

Your account

To use certain features of the App, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Keep your login credentials confidential and secure
• Notify us immediately at info@snapsugar.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that show signs of fraudulent or harmful activity.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You will not:

• Use the App to harm yourself or others, including by misusing health information or following recommendations against medical advice
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
• Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with security or authentication features
• Upload, share, or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Use the App to harass, abuse, impersonate, or defraud other users or third parties
• Scrape, copy, or extract data from the App without our written permission
• Use the App to provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment to other people
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App or its content without authorization
• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action — including suspending or terminating your account — if we believe you have violated these rules.

Health data & personalization

The App relies on the data you provide — including your diabetes type, medications, lab results, glucose readings, dietary preferences, and goals — to generate personalized recommendations.

You understand and agree that:

• The accuracy of recommendations depends on the accuracy of the data you input
• AI-generated insights are based on patterns and statistical analysis, not individual medical judgment
• Lab result interpretations are estimates produced by an AI model and should always be confirmed with your healthcare provider
• Glucose readings, food scans, and barcode scans may contain errors due to image quality, lighting, or device limitations
• Restaurant and food recommendations are suggestions based on your stated preferences and are not nutritional or medical guarantees

We make reasonable efforts to ensure the App functions as intended, but we do not guarantee that any recommendation, analysis, or insight will be appropriate for your specific health situation.

Subscriptions & payments

Certain features of the App may require a paid subscription. If you purchase a subscription:

• Payment is processed through your device's app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store), subject to their billing terms
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your app store account settings
• Refunds, when available, are handled through the app store's refund policy
• Pricing, features, and subscription tiers may change with reasonable notice

Free trial periods, if offered, will convert to paid subscriptions automatically unless canceled before the trial ends.

Intellectual property

All content, software, design, branding, logos, text, graphics, and AI models that make up the App are owned by SnapSugar AI or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. This license does not give you any ownership rights in the App or its content.

The “SnapSugar” name, logo, and mascot are our trademarks. You may not use them without our prior written permission.

Your content

Any data you input — glucose readings, food logs, lab results, notes — remains your property. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process this data solely to provide the Services to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Third-party services & integrations

The App uses third-party services, including Firebase (Google) for authentication and push notifications. The App also offers optional integrations with messaging platforms such as Telegram and WhatsApp.

Your use of these third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices, content, or availability of any third-party service. If you choose to link external accounts, you do so at your own discretion.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information, and is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.

Modifications to the App and Services

We reserve the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Services.

We may release updates that include bug fixes, new features, or security improvements. You agree to install reasonable updates to continue using the App safely.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account through the App's settings or by emailing info@snapsugar.app.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App, with or without notice, if:

• You violate these Terms
• We are required to do so by law
• We discontinue the App or any of its features
• Continued use poses a risk to other users, our systems, or the public

Upon termination, your right to use the App ends immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution — will continue to apply.

Disclaimers

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• AI-generated recommendations will be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your situation
• Glucose readings, food scans, or lab analyses will be free from technical errors
• The App will meet your specific health, fitness, or medical goals

You acknowledge that diabetes management is a complex medical matter and that no app — including SnapSugar AI — can replace the judgment of a qualified healthcare professional.

Limitation of liability

• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill
• Personal injury, health complications, or medical outcomes
• Costs of substitute services
• Damages arising from your reliance on AI-generated recommendations

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SnapSugar AI and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use or misuse of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party right, including health, privacy, or intellectual property rights
• Any health-related decision you make based on App recommendations without consulting a healthcare provider

Governing law & dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with applicable law in the jurisdiction where SnapSugar AI is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be handled through binding arbitration or the appropriate courts of competent jurisdiction, as required by applicable law.

You agree that any claim must be brought within one (1) year of the event giving rise to the claim, to the extent permitted by law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, legal requirements, or business practices. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email and update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document.

Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you must stop using the App.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, while preserving the original intent.

Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SnapSugar AI regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
